Bringing any data into Ürban PAD is easy and integrated into the editing workflow.
Ürban PAD can import 3D models, bones, and animations from almost any 3D application as both Collada and FBX are supported.
All major file formats are supported and any art application can be used.
SHP files are first class citizens in Ürban PAD. Using SHP Profile, import is one click away. The geometric data can be used to describe the city layout, while the attribute table parametrizes streets and building attributes.
Ürban PAD's native support for Allegorithmic Substances means that you can load Substance files straight into your project and adjust their parameters right inside Ürban PAD.
Creating a city is not a problem anymore.
We've done a lot to make Ürban PAD easy to learn:
Anything in the city layout can be changed at any time: road width, building type, etc. As all operations are graph nodes, most of the work consists of connecting or disconnecting of one them, or changing a few settings. Go fast with procedural models: Any changes to a procedural model are propagated everywhere it is used. You can quickly make major and minor adjustments to a large number of instances. You can also can combine several procedural models into more complex models.
